Celebration of the Arts - Thornhill School Celebration of the Arts

Posted by Louise Meah at 8:39AM on 27 June 2017

On Tuesday 20th June we hosted a celebration of the Arts at Thornhill School. The exhibition displayed art work from across all key stages from reception children at our partner primary schools to the final GCSE artwork from our Year 11 students at Thornhill.

In addition, we celebrated the work of our Hospitality, Technology and Photography students and received performances from our gifted actors and singers. There was a wonderful atmosphere of pride and admiration and it was fantastic to see so many parents and members of our community attending to share the talents of our young people.

Just a few of the comments from the night:

‘A great diversity of the Arts’- Year 11 Student

‘I loved seeing my work on display, it made me and my friends very proud’- Thornhill Student.

‘Really encouraging to see such a wide range of talents’- Parent

‘Another fabulous exhibition, long may it continue!’- Teaching Staff

‘Wonderful to see how children develop through their education. Love the artwork!’- Parent

‘This is my first time and I have loved it so much. I can’t wait until next year to look at the art and talent of the students. I has been really fun and I enjoyed singing on stage at Thornhill! (Lucy Wall- Richard Avenue Primary Student)
