There has been discussion in many schools across the city regarding the Christmas holiday dates for 2016. Primary schools in particular are concerned that the holiday begins too early as it is scheduled to start 8 full days before Christmas day, and so many are moving to a later start. Following our telephone survey of all parents regarding this matter, to which only one parent responded, school has decided to change from the Local Authority published dates as follows:
Pupils will be dismissed at lunchtime on Wednesday 21st December 2016 for the start of the Christmas Break. School will re-open for pupils on Monday 9th January 2017.
This will particularly assist our families which have children in both secondary and primary schools to have their holidays together.
Thank you for your support with this change.
