National Restart a Heart Day - Thornhill School National Restart a Heart Day

Posted by Louise Meah at 12:33PM on 16 October 2018

Our academy motto “Learn to Live” is broadened today by the fact that all year 9 pupils are receiving training to possibly help save someone’s life in the event of a cardiac arrest.

As part of “National Restart a Heart Day 2018” pupils are learning basic CPR training to help give someone a much higher chance of survival should they suffer a cardiac arrest.

Training sessions for all year 9 pupils and staff are being delivered by qualified first aiders Mr Redford our Headteacher and Mr Lane our data manager.

No doubt everyone will agree that this is such an important lesson for life!
