Thursday 2nd February was a brilliant night which showcased the fantastic talent of the pupils of Thornhill.  A full programme of entertainment was provided by singers, dancers and musicians from all year groups who enthralled a very receptive audience for over two hours.

The judges Mrs Monte and Mrs Elphinstone had a very hard job to do to find a winner as the competition was varied and of a high standard.

Eventually after much deliberation, Owen Seafield of year 8 was announced as Junior winner for his version of  'A Team' by Ed Shearan and Evie Thompson was given the overall winner prize for her outstanding performance in which she played guitar and sang 'Price Tag' by Jessie J.  Christopher Camm of year 9 gained second place for his version of 'Chasing Cars' by Snow Patrol and Soffena Lowe of year 10 achieved third place with her version of  'Valerie' by Amy Winehouse.

Evie will be going forward to represent Thornhill in the Sunderland schools Talent Star competition in which she will be competing against winners from secondary schools throughout the town.  Good luck Evie.

Well done to everyone who took part, you are all stars!
