The tradition of producing stars of the stage has continued once again at Thornhill School. Last month Sunderland Minster came alive with a brilliant production of 'Whistle Down the Wind'. A number of our pupils gained major roles in this production including; Hannah Linstedd who got the part of Kathy, Owen Seafield as Charles and Charlotte Dunn as Elizabeth. Rhianne Finlay, Jordan Spurs, Kathryn Thompson, Davie Lee Hutchinson and Heather Storey also had a part to play.
Last year these pupils were involved in an Opera workshop which was held in our school halll. As a result of this they were invited to attend auditions at St. George's church and amazingly all of these pupils were selected to be part of the production.
Taking part in the show proved to be a fantastic experience not only for our pupils and the rest of the cast, but for the audience too who had the chance to watch the production - Well done once again to Thornhill's stars of the future.
