Year 11 Exam Notice
Dear Year 11 Parents and Students,
Firstly, I would like to say again how well students have conducted themselves throughout our Mock exam Window. Not only in the exam suite itself but in the level of preparation and independent study we have seen from most students. These mock exams are hugely important in preparing students but also to help students and teachers gather information on how to improve progress and performance even further. We encourage ongoing revision and preparation as we progress through the year and will continue to offer revision and support sessions.
As shared on social media last week the DfE have outlined their contingency arrangements for next year's exam series. It is highly likely that exams in 2022 will go ahead as usual, however we welcome the additional preparation and support from the DfE and Ofqual in providing us all with their 'back up plan', should we need to rely on Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGS) again. Students will need to complete 3 assessments over year 11 which may be used as part of a TAG portfolio (one in the autumn, one in the spring and one in the summer term). This will not affect year 11 students adversely and students will not need to sit any additional assessments other than those already planned for the school year.
Further information about next year's examinations can be found via the link below. It is most likely that these will go ahead as normal, however, we want to share the importance of these assessments should we need to rely on them for TAGS.
