Policies
At Thornhill Academy we are committed to maximising the potential of our young community. Enabling them to progress to sixth form, college of their choice and ultimately in to successful employment or their dream job.
We believe that high quality Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) is a key element in raising aspirations and supporting pupils in their journey to adulthood and making a positive contribution to their community. Our whole school approach to careers is guided by the eight Gatsby Benchmarks of Good Career Guidance
We have a clear policy for our CEIAG program which is reviewed annually by our Local Academy Board. We welcome the input of a number of outside agencies, providers and partners to our program. Our Provider Access Policy, which sets out the academy's arrangements for managing the access of providers to pupils at the school for the purposes of giving them information about the provider’s education or training offer. This complies with the school’s legal obligations under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997.
