Support for parents/carers
As parents and carers, your main priority will be to make sure your children are healthy, happy, and safe.
This means more than just making sure they are physically safe, but looking after their emotional and mental well-being too. They need to know how to keep themselves safe when they are out, and to ensure they know all about online safety, on social networks, and when using their mobile phones.
If you have any concerns about the safety and well-being of your children please do not hesitate to contact our safeguarding team.
We work with a number of agencies who work alongside parents to enhance the support offered by the school. This includes a member of Together for Children’s Early help team.
Who is Early Help?
We are all Early Help. Early Help is not a service. Anybody working with children or families is part of Early Help, at the point that problems are identified. The well-being of children, young people, and families is everyone’s responsibility. Early Help is the collection of all services available in Sunderland and how they work with families when there are additional or more complex needs, before the need for Children’s Social Care (CSC) and safeguarding procedures.
